Currency Codes

Background
The International Standards Organization (ISO) is the primary recognizable entity which issues standardized codes for world currencies. The ISO has issued both a 3 character (letter) code and a number code for all current and many obsolete world currencies. Currency lineage has changed around the world as countries and as countries’ currencies have changed over time. There are quite a few attributes associated with currencies that are used in various contexts by different organizations that are owned and published by specific organizations.

Currency information provided in CommonDataHub is a conglomeration of information from various sources to provide you with a consolidated view that is downloadable in easily readable and uploadable formats.
