Background
World Gazetteer is the source used for cities in CommonDataHub. City names are mapped to ISO Countries and ISO/FIPS States to give a cross-mapping between existing standards and cities.

City information provided at CommonDataHub is a conglomeration of various sources to provide you with a consolidated view of the information that is downloadable in easily readable and uploadable formats.

Note: Viewing/Filtering content is free for all datasets below, except the subscription entity (Users must subscribe to see the full Data Set).

CDH Country Codes Datasets
The following are the various datasets available on CDH for City codes of countries. Different views of the information have been made available for ease of use. Please note that some of the datasets require a paid subscription (indicated by the symbol), primarily due to the value-add of consolidating various sources, additional attributes, and incremental updates. All reasonable commercial attempt is made to keep the information up-to-date.
GCO5 Cities in US and Canada Cities in the US and Canada.
GCO6 Large Cities in US and Canada Cities in the US and Canada with population over 50,000.
GCO7S Large Cities in the World (population > 20,000) Cities in over 140 countries with population over 20,000, along with name in english character set, ISO Country and ISO State Codes. All US cities.
